Make Magnetic Slime
Stretch, squish, mash, ooze! Also, the slime is magnetic, all the extra fun and intrigue. Make your magnetic slime at home with your little ones, a particularly good activity to keep in your back pocket for a rainy day or during long holidays when you are looking for things to do. So straight into it, here is what you need:
1. Liquid Starch 2. Elmer's Glue 3. Iron Oxide powder 4. Disposable bowls and sticks 5. A bunch of really strong magnets, a Neodymium (rare earth magnets)
All these items will be available to buy online, try Amazon for a one stop shop.
Quick how to steps: 1. Mix 1/4 cup of liquid starch with 2 tablespoons of iron powder, stir well 2. Then add 1/4 glue and mix that gloop up some more. 3. Play with the slime and pat down any excess liquid with some paper towels 4. That's it you are done! Now have a fun with some messy play, don't worry about the black hands, it washes off easily. Alternatively, try disposable gloves to avoid the mess.
So as you can see, the mini bits of metal in the slime is attracted to the magnet. Here is a video to explain further with a visual how-to guide.
