Technology and the Environment
As we enter the age of technology (some say we are already here), our lives are becoming increasing connected, giving us flexibility and a standard of living, unlike previous eras. However, there are adverse effects, and the environment is getting the whip as we eat the technological carrot. Some examples being:
1. The increase in travel: Lots of pollutions created
2. Excess power consumption: Pollution again
3. Generate more waste: Old tech just goes to the junk pile
4. Excess use of gadgets: Everything gives off radiation, this exposure can cause silent health problems
5. Excess deforestation: Better Forestry Tech, more trees getting mowed down
We all need to be more mindful and hopefully these examples will get your guilty conscious motivated, but as fellow adults we understand its tough to teach a old dog new tricks.
